Brian began his career with American Express Financial Advisors in 1998 as a registered representative working with individuals with retirement and estate planning needs. In 2002, he continued the career path into management with American International Group developing new representatives until 2006. Over his eight-year stint with those organizations, Brian compiled a list of accomplishments ranging from producer of the year to the elite management award recognizing the nation’s top associate managers. In 2007, Brian launched Gateway Strategies, LLC. as a boutique firm specializing in the mature market place. After realizing a need in the individual marketplace for independent advice with senior health insurance, Brian launched GS National Insurance in 2010 as a distributor of insurance products for independent agents. Brian is also an owner of MediConnect Insurance and a managing partner with PEAK Reps, LLC.
Steven began his career as an independent agent in 2002. Over the next 12 years, he would go on to win various producer awards in the senior health arena until landing with GS National Insurance. Today, Steve oversees the wholesale department with multiple relationship managers and an ever-increasing agent database of almost 10,000 strong. His vast knowledge of the senior health industry as a successful producer brings a unique value to the agent force.
As the chief financial officer of the firm, Duane has become an integral part of the overall success of GS National. His innovative and industry-leading processes have moved GS National to the forefront. Duane has played a vital role in the development of the revenue sharing program that separates GS National from the competition.
LaVonne started in the contracting department with GS National as a coordinator. Over the years, she has risen throughout the organization and now oversees agent services. One of her primary responsibilities is the oversight of the contracting department, which has flourished under her watch. One of the most difficult tasks for Medicare agents is the yearly onboarding process. LaVonne’s team continues to work on streamline processes through e-contracting to enhance the agent experience.
Joe has worked both as an independent agent and as an agency owner over the last 20 years. His vast knowledge of the industry help GS National launch a retail division of the firm that he now oversees. With telephonic and field agents, Joe brings a unique perspective in relation to the “pulse” of the consumer. This has helped the firm greatly in creating services and marketing strategies for the agent force.
